We have just been informed that Transport Canberra has partnered with Transport NSW which means that ACT Seniors My Way card holders are entitled to concession travel in NSW using NSW Gold Opal Card. Therefore Seniors with an early ACT Seniors Card (i.e. one that has 6 numbers as opposed to 9 on the current cards) will need to apply for a card replacement in order to apply for an NSW Gold Opal Card.
A community report on the potential for urban development in western Greenway has been released, Minister for Planning and Land Management, Mick Gentleman, announced today.
The report was prepared by the western Greenway community panel, a group of key community representatives brought together earlier this year to help explore the suitability of land and potential urban development to the west of Tuggeranong town centre.
Chaired by Dr David Shorthouse, the panel included representatives from Tuggeranong Community Council and other key environment, heritage, community, business and sport and recreation groups.

On the 23rd November I presented the first Tuggeranong Community Council “Community Service Award”to Jacquelyn Grundig from Trinity Christian School. She has supported the community in many ways including helping out at Ronald MacDonald House and actively working with the Girl’s Brigade.
