We will be hearing from Kate Smith, the Director of School Improvement for the Tuggeranong Network of schools about what is happening in in education in the ACT, in particular what is happening in Tuggeranong. LDK Healthcare who are renovating the old Department of Social Servies buildings into a place for Retirement Living and Aged Care are putting on a series of forums starting on the 29th August at 10am and then 3pm. They will be held here in the club and will include a two course meal.

The next meeting of the TCC will commence with a special AGM at 7:00pm to consider changes to the TCC constitution. It will be followed by a presentation about the work of SEE-Change, a not-for-profit group whose aim is to reduce Canberra’s ecological footprint; improve the resilience of the ecosystem; an, enhance the wellbeing of individuals. We will also about the Standby Support program which provides a coordinated response of support and assistance for people who have been exposed to suicide.
