Some recent submissions made by the Tuggeranong Community Council

SouthFest in the Suburbs will reach out across the Tuggeranong Valley from 5 to 20 November 2022.

We are asking local businesses, community groups and community minded individuals to help bring this vision to life.

The University of Melbourne is currently running a international research study trial called HOMESIDE. HOMESIDE investigates the effects of music and reading activities for people living with dementia and their family caregivers.

Here are the results form the Tuggeranong Community Council’s Youth Engagement subcommittee 21/22 Survey. These results helped the TCC Youth Subcommittee plan our recent Youth Engagement Survey, whose results should be out in the next couple of weeks.

Tuggeranong Lake Carers with the support of the Tuggeranong Community Council  the Southern ACT Catchment Group, the Tuggeranong Sea Scouts and the Tuggeranong Rowing Club are organising a Clean-Up of Lake Tuggeranong on Sunday 6^th March, from 10am to 1pm.

On Sunday the 14^th November, under extremely poor windy weather conditions, forty three keen people came to help us clean up Lake Tuggeranong. Members of the Tuggeranong Lake Carers (TLC), Tuggeranong Community Council (TCC), Tuggeranong Sea Scouts, and other volunteers came from not just parts of Tuggeranong but many other areas of Canberra to help out.

The Tuggeranong Community Council’s Youth Engagement sub-committee is launching a survey to find out what young people in Tuggeranong consider as the most important issues affecting our community, and what changes they would like to see to make Tuggeranong a better place to live in. …

Please join us and register at the Sea Scout Hall on Mortimer Lewis Drive, East Greenway and bring gloves, a hat and water bottle.
