On Thursday the 5th May, Frank Vrins represented the Tuggeranong Community Council (TCC) at the official announcement of the extension of Ashley Drive from Ellerston Avenue to Johnson Drive.
On the 24th May 2016 representatives of the TCC Committee Beverley Flint and Frank Vrins attended the official launch for the proposed new State Emergency Service Station in Tuggeranong.
The Canberra and Regional Futures at the University of Canberra have contacted us about some focus group meetings designed to find out the views of residents (from particular suburbs) relating to the ‘sustainable future of the Tuggeranong district’.
The next meeting of the Tuggeranong Council will be held at 7.30pm on Tuesday 7th June at the Tuggeranong Southern Cross Club. We will be hearing details about what the $27 committed by the federal government will do to improve water quality here in Lake Tuggeranong We will also be hearing the latest about the National Broadband Network (NBN) and receive an update about what is happening in South Quay.
The ACT Government have advised Canberrans of further disruptions to household waste and recycling next week due to industrial action by drivers employed by collection contractor SUEZ.
Catch up collection services will not be possible.
On Friday, 6th May, 2016 a new $1.25 Million Ambulance Station in Greenway, Tuggeranong was officially opened by ACT Government Minister Simon Corbell MLA.
