Last month the Minister for Climate Change and Sustainability, Shane Rattenbury and the Minister for Transport and City Services, Meegan FitzHarris launched the ACT policy on Zero emission vehicles (electric cars/bikes). There are some interesting items in it showing benefits for owners including:
* Zero stamp duty on new zero emissions vehicles
* 20% discount on registration fees
* Annual savings for reduced running costs
* Helping reduce greenhouse gas emissions
* Permit zero emissions vehicles to drive in transit lanes until 2023
